As the trend continues to forge ahead, a footwear industry supplier wanted to test out the concept of a mini production factory, producing shoes under a space constraint while simultaneously solving inventory issues.

Pailung’s ShupperKnit machine was exactly the critical component necessary to make this concept a reality — a machine that can knit thousands of different design possibilities, without sacrificing production efficiency. With the addition of the ShupperKnit machine to its production line, the mini factory successfully produced personalized shoes based on the Purchase Activated Manufacturing (PAM) model.
