Our knitting machines are mainly characterized by the widest range
of choices in the industry for needle pitch and cylinder diameter in all type of
machines. From 4 to 42 gauge and 2" to 64" diameter, our capability provides custom
request knitting machine model, and fabric application includes apparels, high-tech
industry, and aerospace purpose. These are Pai Lung's most important value in creating
a competitive edge in the knitting machinery industry.

Vertically integrated production system
|

Pai Lung has a complete production system equipped with a number
of the most up-to-date facilties: computer-controlled flexible production system,
automatic warehousing, various advanced CNC working machines, and affiliated companies
to produce key components and parts - cams and needle cylinder. We use a supply |

chain management (SCM) system in our ERP internal resources planning
system to integrate and control our affiliated companies and subcontractors so that
Pai Lung and its satellite system can obtain the up-to-date production requirement
simultaneously for prompt response to the market demand. |

IT-based management
|
|
In this quick changing competition environment, good control on
information is the key to success. As early as in 1992, Pai Lung built up an overall
information management system. In 1995, Pai Lung set up an Information Department
staffed with talents in different fields to process all information with standard
procedures - from acceptance or order, arrangement of production schedule, material
control to delivery - all under a timely and accurate control. ERP system provides
management report with the Information Department's analysis to help the management
level to get the latest information as well as reference data in decision making
for promotion of operating efficiency. Pai Lung's Information Department does not
only the company with ERP system extended service, but also further supports the
planning unit to develop the first knitting machine on-line monitor and management
system (POMS - Pailung Online Monitor System). Under this system, the status of
all the machines on line are transmitted to the main controller instantaneously
and thus all related mechanism can be triggered spontaneously, including

Development capacity

A successful enterprise must get the market trend instantly, and
makes a serie of observation, evaluation, planning, and adaptation to the changing
market environment as well as other necessary actions to meet the market trend and
the clients' requirement. Acting actively instead of passively, Pai Lung takes the
initiative in creating business opportunity. For R&D on application of our products,
our Test and After-Service Division is staffed with talents in the field or knitting
technologies to make use of different combinations in market trend to integrate
technologies and designs, and makes effort in the development of new fabrics in
order to extend the scope of application of our products arid to lead
the fashion. The Test and After-Service Division provides services
to our clients mainly with technologies on development of uses of our products and
software training in electronic jacquard models together.

The Test and After-Service Section's main duties are as follows: |

On development of new fabrics: The Application Development Division
is in charge of collection of market information and trend to provide the clients
with information about the fashion, information about the up-to-date knitting technologies,
and news about the recent textile market trend.
|
|
On training for knitting and CAD, we provide overseas and local
clients with training on knitting and CAD for their individual equipment requirements. |
|
For analysis on structure of fabrics, we analyze or knit according
to samples provided by the client, and provide them with structure diagram and yarn
specifications. |
|
In addition to the above services, the Test and After-Service Division has several
experienced engineers to provide our clients with then experiences and know-how
to meet the market trend and after service requirements. |
|
Furthermore the Test and After-Service Division has five main tasks: |
|

Perform tests and enhance performance of the existing products and newly developed
machines developed by the R&D department. |
|
2. |
Provide overseas after sales service and assist the clients on troubleshooting in
order to increase production capacity and find out the machine's capacity in handing
different knitting patterns. |

3. |
Test and develop new fabrics according to the features of our machines, and provide
our distributors and clients with market trend and information. |
|
4. |
Provide a complete training course to our local and overseas distributors and clients
for transfer of knowhow and technologies in operation of our products. |
|
5. |
Making samples of fabrics required by our clients and test production on their machines. |
|
|
On integration of production technologies and development of new fabrics pattern,
we emphasize on knowhow about development and design of new fabrics pattern and
use of CAD system, and provide the clients with in-depth knowledge in knitting mechanism.
Then, through mutual discussion and exchange of technologies, the performance of
our machines can be further enhanced. Thus, the importance of integration of production
technologies with development of new fabrics patterns is very significant

We believe that only the strong R&D capacity and comprehensive improvement skills
are the force to keep the enterprise sustainable, and are Indispensable for success
of the enterprise. As R&D can bring a lot of business opportunities, we invested
4% of our yearly turnover in research and development. Furthermore, as a client-oriented
company, we respond to our clients' demand rapidly, and we collect clients' requirements
in different markets in order to respond to the market change. At the time being,
Pai Lung's R&D is toward high production capacity, high quality and versatility,
and spare no effort in enhancing the exchangeability and quality of parts to increase
the added-value of its products. |

In the past. 2D software was used for R&D of parts for knitting machines. However,
there are inherent detects in 2D design environment resulting in waste of time in
research, development and production. Therefore, in 2000 Pai Lung started 10 use
a completely 3D environment to design and analyze parts and components, and find
out substation production process to eliminate defect in the traditional production
line Our efforts have significantly

improved the timeliness of production and design. Furthermore,
with the result of analysis by our 3D software, our parts have been improved to
provide a higher durability and strength. By use of this software, our R&D engineers
have a total solution thinking model in mind that does not only for drawing but
also to enhance our competition edge. Uninterrupted research, development, design
and innovation are Pai Lung's main works. In the future, we will continue to Improve
fabrics made my our products for use in clothing, develop and expand the range of
industrial and decorative fabrics, expand the use of newly developed yarns for knitting
with our machines. Moreover, establishment of a R&D database and vertical integration
are the jobs we have to do on a long-term basis in order to provide fast searching
power for instant response to our clients' requirements. |

Quality assurance
|
|
In the field of professional quality control, Pai Lung has not spared any effort
in achieving the up-to-date quality requirement with its innovative control technique
and facilities. It has been certified for ISO 9001 Quality Assurance system, and
has implemented an overall quality control system as a basis of its Quality control.
Among our test and inspection instruments, we use coordinate measuring machines
instead of the traditional vernier caliper and we further installed the latest inspection
device in 3C industry - CNC Optical Measuring System for a strict control on the
precision of parts and components.
On supply chain n-management, we have successfully completed a supply chain management
project to help our subcontractors to build up their own rational and standardized
operating process, and integrate their technologies, experiences and information
resources to enhance their production efficiency and quality.
